All of my family had food poisoning after having dinner at this place. TERRIBLE!!! I will NEVER come to this place again. I would give 0 star if I could. Avoid this place!
The food was good, and the tempura
Good food/sushi. Place could use 2-3 more waiters to improve service. Ambiance is nice and they have private rooms if requested.
I literally got food poisoning from this place. Fish is not fresh at all, the taste lets you know it’s obviously not sushi-grade. The raw fish they are serving is not suitable to be eaten and makes you sick.
Great place for large families or for entertaining friends, spacious inside with plenty of seating options. Extensive sushi and a la cart menu. The bento set is available both at lunch and dinner, the amount of food for the price was well worth it. This includes your choice of sides (I opt for California roll). Full serving of tempura, salad, miso soup
I had the sashimi special and tea. 10 mins later I had a reaction. Thinking it may be allergies I didn’t panic, however my friend also started getting similar symptoms. We both ended up in the emergency department with the diagnose of scombroid. We had redness and nausea almost suddenly after the meal. I came by after to explain what had happen to the owner. He was in denial telling me that I might’ve been at the wrong restaurant, I showed him
My receipt and he still denied it. An apology would’ve been just fine. However he continued to deny all accountability and even questioned my illness after I showed him my hospital band. I wrote this in hopes that you think twice before eating here.
I come here at least once a week. The service is always excellent, the waitstaff treats my children really well. I am happy with my meal 95% of the time which is good enough for me considering I typically get sashimi and eat there so often. There are very few other mid-range sushi spots that I can consistently say the quality is good. I’ve been a customer for almost 17 years now.
I particularly like the Sake Don, 49er roll, the avocado rolls which always taste fresh and my kids enjoy the grilled salmon and shrimp tempura.
This is our go to place. We don’t live nearby (about 40-60 minutes drive without traffic), yet we regular come to here. The sashimi tastes fresh, it is not moist like other places. Their customer service is great! Everyone is so polite. We have been booking for the room since COVID and they would consistently come to check on us to see if there is anything that we need, making sure that we’re ok. The food here is delicious and the price is reasonable (another reason we visit). Definitely recommending visiting Tomodachi Sushi Bistro in Hayward!
I have always liked this place however last within a couple of hours I was sick with food poisoning. I will not bring any sushi anytime soon after being up all night.
I love this place best sushi in Hayward very friendly great service but the last two times I went there they were closed and the times on the window it should of been open I just hope they did not close down
