It’s been about 7years since I’ve been able to come back, so I was worried that reality might not be as good as my memories. I was thrilled that the drinks and food were as good as I remembered. I got the Everything’s Eventual to drink, dry aged rib eye steak to eat then for appearance sake with the chocolate candy bar for dessert. The drinks were well balance and flavorful. The food was tasty and memorable.
Best meal I’ve had in RVA! Excellent pre fixe menu. Four of us selected different items and everything was outstanding! The fig, grilled peach and burrata salad was to die for. Restaurant was full but still not too loud. Well done! Can’t wait to go back!!
Excellent experience x2, all the cocktails were amazing, every course was perfect. One of Our top meals in Richmond since moving here. Service is great as well. Also- we never order dessert but the candy bar is awesome!
Amazing menu! Had the 3 course special and it was very good. Sat at the bar and the servers were very attentive and made sure we had whatever we needed. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful! Every dish was simply spectacular. Perfectly cooked, exquisitely flavored, beautifully presented and I could go on and on.
We started first with some yummy cocktails that were not only fun to look at but with some uniquely yummy flavors. I really enjoyed the Aloe Poppet. It was refreshing!
Then came the food. The ribeye was perfectly juicy and tender and so was the duck. Apparently their menu changes often but I’ve heard it’s never disappointing. I seriously can’t wait for my next trip to Richmond to try their next perfectly curated menu.
***4.5 star
It’s been a decade since I’ve touched base here, and a first time for my wife.
We were early for a reservation and were sat right away by a friendly member of the team in a nice window seat.
Tonight was a prefix menu selection and everything down the line was a winner, start to finish.
Service was pretty regular and attentive, always appreciated.
Beer and whiskey list was more than solid, particularly the spirits.
We will certainly be back sooner than my last visit!
This place was so cool. Small place in downtown with good street parking. Cute bar inside with lots of fun art. The restaurant works with a 3 course meal for $60. Starter, main, and dessert. There’s about 3 to 4 choices for each. I got the crab and avocado salad first, the duck for my main, and blueberry tart for my dessert along with some cocktails. Cocktails were beautiful. Salad was amazing and good portion. Duck was amazing and the sauces and sides were so good. The dessert was the perfect ending and I was stuffed. All the presentation was beautiful. I also munched on my parents orders: steak and rockfish. Both were great. Such a fun place and great price for the quality you get.
Solid restaurant with great food and cocktails. Small place but beautiful inside with an attractive bar in the middle of the room. Charred broccoli appetizer is so good, pasta and chicken dishes are always great choices. And the candy bar dessert..?!!! Cmon! So good.
Their hours are currently shortened and they only do pre-fixed at $75 a pop but if you’re looking for a nice night out you should definitely try Heritage! Well known as a Richmond staple, Heritage continues to dish out interesting takes on American/southern food. And service is always wonderful :). From their three course offerings I got:
– Tuna Tartare: not sure what those crackers were but every tartare should use them. Pumpernickel-esque and not too dry but with a perfect snap, they paired nicely with the tartare, which had a tangy sweetness to it from the seaweed and green onions.
– Soft Shell Crab: huge portion size! I was pleasantly surprised at how large these soft shell crab were. They were fried and seasoned well and sat on top of a creamy, pickley potato salad.
– Cheesecake Tart: what a fascinating take on a cheesecake. Typical cheesecake filling but in a buttery tart shell with crunch basil streusel and micro greens on top. Worked surprisingly well
I’m so glad Heritage is open again! They were closed for awhile during Covid. I went on a Friday night for dinner. They are currently doing a 3 course Pre-fix dinner. They had lots of great options to choose from! I started with the tuna tartar that was
