Blueberry friand was delicious and coffee was perfect…service was excellent.broughr a cart out with so many selections ,had to pick one lol.ill definitely be back next time I am around the area
This place is SO SO good!! They brought out a cart of all the cakes and cookies they had available for the day which was quite a few options!! I tried the carrot cake and oatmeal raisin cookies and they were so delicious!! The treats are quite expensive but the food was great quality so I would say it’s worth it!!
This place is absolutely amazing. Definitely some of the best pastries I’ve ever had. The oatmeal crème pies were probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s also the only gluten free cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. It is also probably the best cinnamon roll that I’ve ever had.
They cater to pretty much any food allergy you could imagine, but even if you don’t have food allergies it’s some of the best pastries you could probably get.
Super delicious! Far better than any other gluten free foods I have tried. I just wish they had an indoor area at their Government St location. The benches out front just don’t work out when my wife and I need a cool place to relax and enjoy a coffee along with one of their fine treats.
My daughter found this place by using her find me gluten free app. All the reviews said that it’s a must stop business with a variety of gluten-free options to go.
what a wonderful small and local business that offers such a huge variety of baked goods that are all gluten-free. The customer service was top notch. The employee helped us by showing us what their best sellers were and gave us her recommendations. My daughter decided to get some cookies and cupcakes. She said everything was delicious and tested fresh.
We will definitely have to come back when we’re in the area again to try the biscuits and other options.
I had to pull my car over after my first bite of their Blueberry-Lemon Friand. So many emotions washed over me as the lemon popped and the sweetness of the blueberries hit me. And the texture of this single treat was transforming. I had to snap out of my daze to realize that what I had just taken a bite of was gluten free and it felt impossible. It was TOO good if you know what I mean. Like did I accidentally misread the sign? Is this really GF?? I felt like I was dreaming and if the first 6 months of being Gluten Free was going to lead me to discover an amazing bakery like Guncles, then sign me up for life. (thx celiac)
This trip from Orange Beach was well deserved. To meet with the bakers and understand their passion. What I missed is that this is no ordinary GF bakery. This is confection perfection!
Over my next few weeks, I will be diving into my stash of Guncles breads, cookies and cakes. So far, each has been a mind blowing, taste bud adventure. I cry at every bite. I grin ear to ear at every bite. I am so amazed and so grateful to have been able to shop here and enjoy everything they offer.
found out about this place from looking up “gluten free near me” and man am i glad we went. I’ve been gluten free for about 10 years, and its very hard to find good fresh gf food/desserts with no added junks in it around here, especially a dedicated place with no cross contamination? what! this is some of the best bakery items I’ve ever had anywhere. and i bake a lot! definitely coming back for those amazing looking cookies
The very best cinnamon rolls our family of 4 has ever tasted, gluten free or otherwise. So delicious we went back for a 2nd day in a row, abandoning our other plans. They were sold out of fresh ones due to our late morning arrival, so go early to ensure you get warm ones! We did bring back some frozen, “deconstructed” ones to bake ourselves. Otherwise we tried almost everything on the menu since we were so excited to find a dedicated GF bakery. Our 2nd favorite was the Cheddar Herb biscuits! Wonderful service and lots of information with a smile from one of the owners too. We will be back on every future visit to Mobile!
Delicious, if pricey. We tried a variety of the mini bundt cakes and every one of them was excellent. My family member has celiac, and they are leery of store bought gluten free items that still contain traces of gluten, but Guncles did not disappoint. There was no contamination here. Expect everything to cost twice normal bakery prices, but for gluten-free diets, the taste may be worth an occasional splurge.
