Had lunch here on a Thursday and it was very busy (had to stand in line for 5 minutes to order), however, an employee quickly cleared a table for us to sit and we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Photos: rustic tomato soup in a bread bowl, butternut squash soup in a bread bowl, grilled cheese sandwich with a side salad.
Boudin SF soups are the best! I love to get the patty melt with their broccoli cheddar soup in a sourdough bowl. I like their food, way better than others.
We love Boudin’s and always have, but this visit was not good at all. We were in town and visited this location for lunch on Wednesday October, 12th. We came in just before 1 p.m. and finally got our seat at 1:30 p.m.
Had the clam chowder in the bread bowl. Tasted so good. I will go back for sure!!
This is the best place to get sourdough bread. I am in awe over it. I would post a photo of my delicious and delightful bread bowl but I ate it already. I had the butternut squash soup. Omg so delicious.
I am usually not the type of person to complain as I understand things are hard for everyone.
Got the sourdough pizza for the first time. So so good. I chose the combo. Mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, black olives, red pepper, and onion. And they even gave me a few dollars off in lieu of my normal loyalty rewards free loaf of bread.
Great surprise to find them in the area. Great flavors and it keeps the idea from the San Francisco location at Fisherman’s Wharf. They run out of items, they’re that good. Prices are up there, but worth it for bread and clam chowder. Cookies were just ok. Service was great!
I bought bread last night. When I cut it open it was moldy on the inside. (4 clearly grey spots under the crust). I took it back to return it, and they refused. The manager said that’s the way bread is. When I showed her, her response was yes, that happens. It is fresh, and I doubt it would be moldy after 5 hours. I wasn’t sure how to respond, as it was clearly moldy under the crust. Super disappointed with this location. They wouldn’t refund it, or give me a new one.
The clam chowder soup in a bread bowl is great. Their bread and rolls are fresh. A little busy but nothing to complain about. Fair prices. They have other dishes like sandwiches and hamburgers.
